We were driving between Stormsvlei and Riviersonderend along the dirt road, not realising that the road was flooded. Admittedly the road had been flooded
but we didn’t realise the road was actually closed until I saw this in the rearview mirror.

I photographed this yellow billed duck on motor drive which gave me five images seconds apart, so I turned the five images into an animated gif and it came out quite nicely.
This picture taken at Riviersonderend. The bird is a common fiscal and has a tiny insect in its claws.
Just a quick post to ensure that we can be seen and pictures look right.
I was privileged to attend the Nelson Mandela Memorial Service in Cape Town.
It was humbling and encouraging. We have come so far since 1994. The crowd mourned in unison. I was honoured to be part of that crowd.
