I have been trying to get clouds to look good using stop motion photography. This is the first time I have gotten reasonable results. I just forgot to level the camera. Next time!

Cold Front Arriving
September was remarkable for the cold fronts that hit Cape Town. This gif was done early in the month before familiarity bred disinterest.

The new moon sets behind Lions Head as hikers descend from the top after watching the sunset.
During that photographic session I saw a green deep sky object. I am still battling to identify it and figure out why it is green. The red circle on the right is a hiker, the red circle on theleft is Venus, but what is the green object?

Lights on Lion’s Head
Lions Head has become a popular place to watch the sunset. Every night we watch people descending the peak after dark, their head light visible as bright dots in the darkness. To give some time frame the picture here were taken over a period of about 30 minutes, another time indicator is that you can see a star setting over Lions Head.
